Interesting idea, but if I'm giving up Brown and retaining salary there needs to be more going back to Ottawa than Borgstrom. Logan Brown is probably enough to get Seattle to take the entire Zaitsev deal without any bad contract coming back. Zaitsev's deal is bad, but after two seasons, which is when Stralman would be up, Zaitsev is a pretty painless buyout from that point anyway.

I am strongly against any contract shedding deal. The sens don't need to shed anything. They should let the zaitsev and Ryan contracts play out. I'm also not as over Brown as some sens fans seem to be.

If zaitsev, brown plus thompson/JBD and a pick was part of a bigger deal for Ekblad... Then I'd be interested.
