Isles won't take on the extra cap. There could be the framework for a deal to be made here still, but this isn't enough as it is. If Ladd goes on LTIR the trade is dead. Isles just save the cap space

Edit: Take a look at this trade I proposed a while back. This might be the only way it could work. And there are still a lot of moving parts. https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1795652

Yeah I agree. I believe if the Wild can get rid of Parise’s contract they should. The islanders were interested at one point so that’s why I tried to revisit that trade.

That doesn't get you Cirelli, as Killorn is anything but a cap dump. Do they need to move him in order to sign players? Yes. But he still plays at a reasonable high level that he'll warrant a good return. The issue in moving him is the M-NTC, and the unlikely scenario that he'll wave to go anywhere. Much less Minnesota.

It's better to just trade directly for Cirelli and avoid this debacle entirely.

But your not getting either of them for our excess trash.

As I do think Killorn can still play he is one of the names they will have to use as a cap dump. Along with Gourde and Johnson. All have NTC so it’ll basically come down to who is willing to wave it. He was kind of the one that I’ve heard that will more than likely be the one they want to trade. As with Hunt and Donato the reason they are appealing is their significantly cheap deal and they can play. Hunt at 700k that plays a decent RHD and Donato young shoot first winger. I see them more of a stop gap for TB, especially Hunt.

But with that said I don’t know if Hunt + Donato + freeing up 4.425 mil x 3 = to a 1st. Which is in theory what I was going for in that trade.
