I tried counting how many slap shots he took that either missed/got blocked in Game 1. I lost count.
I'll try to keep track tomorrow.

Even when he played in a couple games with the Sabres (which cost them a playoff spot) he would always jump into the rush for some reason, he was trying to be an offensive defenseman.

That's the issue. He's built to play defensive but seems obsessed with trying to score.
I hate how Cooper is so obviously giving him ice time ONLY because he can shoot the puck hard.
