Description
Let Hudon, Alzner and Weise play their final Habs game. Lets see how Poehling, Juulsen and Fleury play. Mete and Petry are good skaters, lets throw them on the wing for funnzies.

Garbage effort/hockey from Armia, Drouin, Gallagher and Tatar for the majority of the playoffs, and Domi looks like trash the past two games. These star players let the Montreal Canadiens down, bench them, trade 2 of the 5 in the offseason.

To be fair the Flyers are a really good hockey team that plays some solid defense.

MTL had some chances, unfortunately the greatest chance of the game goes to Belzile who shoots wide. Drouin also gets a good chance and again can't score and generally looks lost out there.

To Domi's defense he at least is trying to get pucks to danger areas even though it hasn't worked great so far. Gallagher is trying hard but Provorov is a stud and the Philly backcheck is doing a great job of preventing him from attacking the slot.

Not much shame in losing to a better team imo.

But Domi is worth 1st and Poulin!!!!!!! jk he looked good that one game but i would still trade him for a 1st and an average prospect no need to hold on to diminishing assets smile.

He's 25 and was on pace to hit 50 points this season. Diminishing asset is excessively harsh wording in this case. Who is MTL going to replace him with if they do trade him ? Dale Weise or Alex Belzile ?

Why are they trying to immediately replace him. They are still rebuilding and can gain assets for him Petry and Tatar. Diminishing ... you and others on this site maybe IRL People think he can be a 2c or even that same 70 point winger. The reality is that he’s a 50-55 point guy. It’s easier to sell people on the better imagine now then I would be a year or 2 from now. Diminishing value from the illusion of 70 points 2c to a 50-55 point winger.

I agree about selling Tatar and Petry since they are both 30+ but Domi is not in that situation. Tearing everything down is well and good but it's important to keep some good players. We've all seen how teams that have been terrible for a long time struggle to get going even when they do end up with good players (cough, cough Edmonton, Arizona and Buffalo).

If players like Tatar and Pageau can get 1st round picks at around 28 why not hang onto Domi and see if the 70 point form can return. If not you don't lose much since people on here already value him like a 40 point winger anyways.
