~~~~~ Have been thinking of a couple New Trades .......throwing these out there for some feed back [U don't have to be a d***, either]
- Not sure of if they are fair OR if they fill other teams needs OR what I think of these yet = (until I get crushed by comments , lol)
For WAYS For THE PENS To GET :
1) - YOUNGER - This team has [1] under 28yrs old Forward w/ some possible Upside [McCann] & he isn't even under contract yet, LOL - (just so sad)
Got: Nylander - 24 / Faksa - 26 / Roslovic - 23 / Gurianov - 22
*** IMO that would do wonders for this Old a** team!!
2) - MORE PHYSICAL (LOL, or should I say...) get 1 Physical guy? [NOT a FIGHTER tho, just not SOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF like all these Pens]
Got : Faksa @ Forward / Forbort / Mayfield on Back-end
3) - GET SID A REAL RWer -
Got : Nylander or Granlund
***** THE MONSTER ~ [3] - TEAM TRADE ~~~~~ Pittsburgh - Toronto - Buffalo *****
[PIT] gets :
~ RW- W. NYLANDER #88 - [$6.9m] ~~~~ This is Kessel 2.0 - A legit Star (but only 24) that gets crushed in TOR but even better 5 on 5 & will come here & win 2- Cups too.
~ G- L. ULLMARK #30 - [RFA] ~~~~~~~~~ An underrated Goalie who has got better each yr in NHL & would be a perfect 1B to Jarry. Plus could sign on the cheap.
**- PENS - "FINALLY" get that- RH Top 6 guy in Nylander, we desperately needed (since Phil left) to play that Left wall spot on PP #1, Able to play w/ both of Sid or Geno, is a very good to great 5 on 5 player, and is only 24yrs old, & is great at Zone Entries on PP too. PLUS Get that 1B Goalie w/ NHL experience for the 1st yr Starting 1A- Jarry.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
[TOR] gets :
~ G- M. MURRAY #30 - [RFA] ~~~~~~~~ Needs a change after a down injury riddled yr. But is still only 26, has 2 Cups, cheaper than Freddy, & a proven winner. TOR needs all of this.
~ LW- J. ZUCKER #16 - [$5.5m] ~~~~~~~ A Feisty type winger, w/ crazy speed, that will get dirty Goals, & cheaper than Nylander
~ RHD- B. MONTOUR #62 - [RFA] ~~~~~ An underrated younger puck-moving RHD that can move the puck great & play on PP that can be locked up to a fair deal.
**- LEAFS - gets a lil Cap Relief in Murray @ $4.5ish w/ Freddy needing new Contract & a Goalie that is proven, Get Zucker @ 5.5 < Willy @ 7 & a guy that scores dirty goals but still skilled & a needed LH-Winger. AND finally get that RHD-man they need in Montour.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
[BUF] gets :
~ G- F. ANDERSEN #31 - [$5m] ~~~~~~~ A legit #1 vet. Starting Goalie that can be easily re-signed w/ only 1 yr left. A perfect guy to be there when UPL comes up.
~ LHD- J. RIIKOLA #50 - [RFA] ~~~~~~~~~ Only 25 after a 1st good yr in NHL - Riikola is at least a #5 or #6 (look at hi Lytics) who didnt get time in [PIT] bc of the coaches love for JJ, smh
~ LW- J. ALMEIDA [Prospect] ~~~~~~~~~~ Coming off 2 yrs of 98 & 111 points in WHL, Almeida struggled his 1st pro yr but there is still skill there for the winger.
**- SABRES - get a real #1 Goalie in Freddy (Ullmark is good but not a #1) that they can sign long term & possibly have a 2 Goalie tandem when UPL is ready & when Re-build is complete. Also an underrated LHD-man that can play both sides = as good. AND the small quick type prospect they like, that put up big #'s in JR's.
    4.
    PIT
    1. Roslovic, Jack [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
    ~ ROSLOVIC - absolutely love this kids game & think he could become a 3rd Center or a Top 6 Winger but for now he would bring youth to that 3rd line as a RW.
    WPG
    1. Aston-Reese, Zach
    2. Légaré, Nathan
    Additional Details:
    ~ ZAR - is a Bottom 6 LWer that is maybe the best Defensive Forward in NHL & a great PK guy, who's value is high after this season.
    ~ LEGARE - Tough to trade bc of his Top 6 RH-RWer future ability but the Nylander trade makes this hurt less.
    5.
    PIT
    1. Faksa, Radek [RFA Rights]
    2. Gurianov, Denis [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
    ~ FAKSA - I think I've been trading for him for last 3+ yrs, lol. After a down yr production & analytically wise, We finally snag him up. The perfect Defensively 1st - 3C w/ a physical side.
    ~ GURIANOV - Have loved this kid since his draft yr & always wondered why it didn't work in DAL. But after finally getting NHL time & producing. The young Russian comes to play on line w/ Geno & Nylander = Get ur Popcorn ready kids.
    DAL
    1. Johnson, Jack
    2. Rodrigues, Evan [RFA Rights]
    3. Rust, Bryan
    Additional Details:
    ~ RUSTY - Trading Rusty is like a punch in the gut, bc of how important he is in every situation. BUT if we could get back a Real 3C & an exciting young player, I mite be down? PLUS the Roslovic trade gives us a RH Bottom 6 Wing.
    ~ E-ROD - Is a fast bottom 6 Center but is very versatile being able to play either wing too & a great PK guy.
    ~ JOHNSON - is what he is, a Cap Dump for The Pens & our Cap situation. BUT JJ can still play on the 3rd Pairing (as long as his partner is good, like S. Johns) + still isn't as bad as Polak. PLUS it's prob only for 1 year then goes to Seattle in Exp. Draft.
    6.
    PIT
    1. Mayfield, Scott
    Additional Details:
    ~ MAYFIELD - has become a really solid RHD-man that is physical (which we need on our SOFFFFFF team) but can also make good short passes in own zone & get puck up to Forwards quickly. + his Cap hit is perfect for a Good 3rd pairing RHD-man.
    NYI
    1. Bjugstad, Nick
    2. 2022 3rd round pick (PIT)
    Additional Details:
    ** CONDITIONAL - 22' - 3rd Rdr [PIT]
    * Pick becomes - 22' - 5th Rdr [PIT]
    -If Bjugstad plays over {70} gms in 20'-21'
    * Pick Returns to [PIT]
    - If Bjugstad Resigns w/ [NYI] after 20'-21'
    ~ BJUGSTAD - is the better player & could be a steal in that [NYI] system but "IF HEALTHY" is the Risk / Reward here. Plus NYI have to find away to get Dobson in line-up w/ Boycheck & Pulock already at RHD & also B. Wilde coming.
    Buffalo declines... Anderson might be a bit better than Ullmark but Linus is younger and will probably be signed for a longer term and smaller cap hit (That's very valuable in a flat cap world) and Montour is probably better or equal to Riikola...Almeida played poorly in the ECHL and is worth almost nothing to the Sabres.
    Toronto rejects very easily.
    I rather pay 7M for Nylander than 10M for Zucker + Montour
    Nylander (70 point guy) (age 24) (4 years left) --> Zucker (50 point guy) (age 28) (3 years left) + Montour (RHD with too high a QO based on his performance)
    The only winner in this three way trade is the Penguins. They get the best forward and the best goalie...
