Overpay for both trades IMO. Not a huge overpay in the Florida trade but still slightly. The Edmonton one though is a huge overpay. Domi + 2nd is equal to 1st + Puljujarvi add Russel and now its an overpay as Russell is a cap dump. So fair value here would be Domi + 4th for 1st + Puljujarvi + Russell. The Oilers never make this trade though cause they need top 6 wingers not centers. Drouin + 2nd for 1st + Puljujarvi is about all I would do. I wouldn't want to take Russell back without Lavoie.

Huberdeau is on a great contract and would be MTL's best forward in decades. I am not sold on Caufield at all. Tatar is good, but he is a pending UFA and no where near Huberdeau's level, and the first round pick has value, but its still not enough to bring in one of the best LWs on a great contract in his prime.
