Yeah, Colorado wants to trade a young guy with lots of potential for two players that would completely destroy their salary structure and create problems for them like the Leafs. If that could avoid that temptation, they quickly decline this gracious offer.

Maybe in a couple of years when Makar is making big dollars. But I can't see any reason to move players as good as him while they are on their ELC.
