Description

IMO all the habs flaws are taken care of here. Only concern is cap hit. Here's how it can work out. a)One of Danault, Gally or Tatar must go before next season playoffs. The money saved will go to KK. The 2 that stay sign at 5$M. b)Weber must retire within the next 2-3 years. Can't imagine a 8$M cap hit for a 37 years old Weber. (Can we buy him out and sign him for 1$M...I don't think it's allowed). His money goes to Suzuki.
Other key elements: Romanov plays next year in Laval . Weber does NOT play on power play. Don't care if he scores 10 goals a year, he slows down the whole thing and make the whole pp too predictible with hands made of stone. We just saw how good he can be when not overtired.
So how can this happen ?
1. If Mantha is not interested signing long term in Detroit, then wings might be interested in the offer.
2. Hall might be interested in Montreal if he doesn't get offers from top contending teams (most of them have no cap space for him, or no need).
3.Brodie is willing to play left long term. I Don't see why not.

You'd be better off moving Domi out for futures on your own and adding them to your proposal for Mantha. Still probably not gonna be enough, Wings would need something crazy like Suzuki + Romanov + 1st to be motivated to trade him

just curious : How much do you value Mantha. He certainly is not elite. For habs, he has value since our team lacks size and lacks snipers. But he's not a Laine imo.
