Description
Once again the Leafs fail to deliver on the playoff (tournament) and they didn't pass a round. Many people are asking for a big change. The Kapanen trade indicate it could happened. They need to find young cheap talent to complement their star player. So guys like Sandin, Liljegren, Robertson will likely becomes regular. Mikheyev had a good season before a injury and I think something around 2M to resign him is reasonable. With the signing of Lehtonen is likely that Dermott gets trade. I've picked Winnipeg because we all know they need defenseman. Since Toronto need to make space, they'll ask for a draft pick. We're also all know they need defensif defenseman so I made yesterday it's a one-on-one swap between Johnsson and Larsson. Larsson could be paired with Reilly on the first line, which is a better option then Holl. So besides those trades and signings I think the Leafs will present this kind of lineup for next season in hope they'll pass at least the first round.

Maybe I'm crazy but does Johnsson carry some kind of value I don't know about?

He is 25 yrs old and has had one good season of 43 pts playing with Tavares/Matthews? I know Larsson is a UFA to be, but I continually see trades of Johnsson for value exceeding his own. I think he's worth a 2nd, but I don't find him or his game as valuable as parts I see him traded for.

Johnsson has been a producer and a winner everywhere he's been and it hasn't all come beside Matthews and JT. The funny thing is apparently everyone on the leafs gets points by playing on their wing. Kapanen was a 20 goal 40 + point player because JT and Matthews, same with Hyman, Mikheyev, Johnsson and I have heard Kerfoot as well. And yet there are only 2 spots available since Marner and Nylander are staples on the top 2 lines. As is Hyman so now we have 3 guys that get all their points....by all somehow being in the same spot. Johnsson broke in last season on the 4th line and produced and kept getting promoted. He's fast, and decent offensively. He is in fact better than Kapanen but gets no love while Kapanen was heavily overrated. Johnsson has value to people who know hockey.

Larsson sucks so hard pass on this, the guy doesn't have the skill set to work in the Leafs system. He would be a 3rd pair PK guy on the team. Just another Hainsey, or Zaitsev pulling Rielly down but only being able to chip the puck off the glass and out while making our possession game plummet

You have to learn to lose before you learn to win. Patience with a young team.

2016 should not have made the playoffs and lost to the cup champions
2017 lost in 7 games
2018 lost to a team that went to the finals in 7 games
2019 lost in 5 games in a not traditional playoff format

This is not a team that is getting blown out they have been in and could have won every series.

Can't disagree with any of that. Andersen will go before either of Dermott or Johnsson.

Johnsson has only played 2 seasons and a few games in the NHL and last season he was hurt.
