Description
Before you start hating, I don't think this team will compete for 3 years at least.

So don't tell me that my team sucks or that it is unrealistic, tell me things I don't know

San Jose is not just one of the worst teams in the NHL, but also one with a terrible prospect pool.
Trading away things that still value would bring them something back to fill up their draft pool the next two years. I think this team is not quite as bad as Detroit, but it is not that much better, so they would still win 1st overall next year and the year after.

If Dubas doesn't trade the pick in a deal for D I don't see him trading down. They would Draft a player.

Hasso and Doug have both stated publicly that they intend to re-tool the Sharks and try to compete next year. Anyone who pays attention to the Sharks knows this is very unrealistic.

The thing is, by adding Hallander and Robertson, they have two guys who can push for the roster

their need is both for Ds and forwards, I don't see a D that is available at that pick that is worth taking that high.

Dubas traded down for the Sandman already. I think this makes sense for both teams.

I said myself above that it is unrealistic, but I think the result will be disapointing. And the prospect pool of the Sharks is bottom 3 in the league.

The Leafs Draft the best player available. Drafting for an immediate need that late in the draft makes no sense anyway. Regardless of who it is if it becomes a not having a roster spot you trade him. Fans have issues doing that, the Leafs managment don't.

I can still do that at 28 and 34.
