    canes wouldnt do 13th OA straight up for andersen, if he is moved to CAR that deal will have a few moving parts from both sides.

    Picture this, the pens come to us asking for Reilly. They offer us Kapanen coming off injury, a first, and an unproven bottom pair defenceman.

    Do you take that?

    Because that's like the blues sending over parayko for that deal

    your forgetting that the first is 15th overall, Dermott hasnt been givin the oppurtunity, Johnsson is a top 6 forward who could play with ROR

    I agree, Dermott still has lots of room to grow MAYBE. But as for the pick, that's not a big deal to a team in win-now mode, unless they're flipping it. Johnsson, idk, the guy is good, but he's pricey considering he's most likely gonna be a third liner. Even then, does STL need top 6 wingers, especially ones with some moderate cap hit?

    That deal gets you no where near Parayko, the only thing that has eye-popping value is the pick - and that doesn't make them better *right now*.
