No you're absolutely right, the chances of that exact scenario would be very rare and I made this for fun, but if it did do you think CLB would pull the deal off? Patrick is up there in the Eichel/Matthew Ranks, or do you think they're content with Dubois as their go to guy?

To me Dubois seems to be a Duchene type, he could play as a number 1 centerman but he's not going to be a franchise centerman like Tavares was.

This roaster is for 2018/19. And these guys are still on the team Enroth, Corrado, Froese, Lepisic, Komarov, Martin? I like Komarov but a you have him at fourth line centre making 4.125m

Maybe Bibeau or Kasper? in net, Dermott, Valiev, Nielson on defence. Lindberg, Tishanov, and a better second line centre than Kadri...might be Nylander.

Enroth is 28 right now, will be 30, Corrado is still very young (I think 24) Froese is a utility player, a 14/15th forward who can play in minors and not be a burden if called upon, his development doesn't matter as opposed to our younger players, Leipsic is 22 and won CHL player of the year in junior, i think he can be a bottom six pest option, Komarov is 29 and will be 31, I gave him the luxurious contract because as a thank you for being such a good leader, it's only 2 years but if you think it's too much you could let him walk, Martin I think will be a long time fixture as long as he continues to be a physical presence, Lou loves old school and Martin is right up his alley.

I don't think Bibeau or Kasper will be NHLers but its hard to project in 2 years time, Dermott I could see breaking into the ranks but at this point he'll only be 21 and I think it wouldn't hurt to let him develop in the AHL- same with Nielsen. Valiev, could crack the lineup and maybe he takes Corrado's spot. Lindberg and Timashov will be 23 and 21 respectively, I think Lindberg might start cracking the lineup but Timashov will spend some more time developing. Again its so hard to gauge where we'll be at this point especially considering the depth the Leafs have on the wings.

Its hard to predict, but no team is built solely from draft picks and prospects... I like Hyman, but i dont see his nhl future as a centreman... this is where a UFA signing might come in hand to fill that 2/3 Centre position... 2018 UFA's include Stasny, Little, Koivu, Tavares(!), Filppula, Backlund, Eller, Turris

Although i like the D, if, say we dont get Liljegren, a UFA signing could be Vlasic, Enstrom, Garrison, Fayne, Klein

Obviously not all of these players will be available, just saying its more likey trades and signings will fill roster spots that (hopeful) Prospects
