Lou makes his first of 4 Draft Day deals by sending favorite Leddy to the Devils for the last of their three first round picks in the Draft (#20 overall). Palmieri is discussed but he stays after securing an extension

Leddy immediately is in the mix among the top two lines on the left countering Subban and Severson on the right. NJ also demanded a late round pick back to part with a first rounder, still leaving them the 15th and 18th overall picks

Lou's second Draft Day swap is a minor one, finally sending the disgruntled Ho-Sang out west for a 7th round pick

The Blues got a small peak of the talented yet troubled JHS on loan late last season and decide the seventh rounder is worth the risk

Boychuk puts Toronto on his 8 team list and heads that way in a cap savings move. Lou also picks up Hyman, coming off back to back 21-goal campaigns

The Leafs add Boychuk to the left side at a modest cost. NY pays his bonus and picks up his 1.25 salary for the season, leaving just 4 million owed to the veteran RD. Toronto also parts with Hyman's expiring contract as they look for one more blue liner on that side in free-agency. They also net a 3rd round pick and send back one of their fourths

Moments before making his first selection in the draft, Lou makes his fourth and final Draft Day swap by sending Leo Komarov and the 20th overall to the Ottawa Senators in another cap savings move. Dal Colle is also added to the deal in exchange for one of their two third rounders

Ottawa gets yet another first round pick from the Islanders, giving them a total of four and Dal Colle reunites with his old coach where he shined as a youngster
