DAL can't afford this, nor are we looking to move Hintz in general.

Just curious, but would Canes be interested in a Radulov - Niederreiter swap?

Man I don't think Hintz is that good. I think Niederreiter alone is better.

I think Niederreiter is better. Now obviously Hintz is younger and plays C, and might still get better. But he does not look like he will be substantially better. Might just be a 40-50 point player. Definitely a 2C, but at this point in time Nino is better, and I imagine the salary will be comparable. And in this deal, they give up a pick and a player that has a chance to play in their top6.

I never said anything about the deal. You said Nino was better. Hintz had more points in fewer games and is still growing into his game. I do agree this could look bad for the Canes in the near future. But it could just as easily look bad for the Stars if Bokk’s game doesn’t translate to the NHL. It’s one of those trades where neither side is too happy about what they’re giving up so it’s hard to know if the value is right or not. The Stars shouldn’t trade Hintz so if somebody is calling and asking about him I don’t think that is an unreasonable ask
