It’s essentially a 1 for 1 for CBJ - Korpi for Stepan, which they’d decline easily. Dubi’s contract isn’t really a cap burden for them with LTIR and, yeah, it’s fully insured, so isn’t actually costing them anything either in terms of real money.

Fair enough, the CBJ trade is the one I was most unsure of. If Dubinsky come out you don't think Stepan and a second moves the needle? maybe more retention or do you think it's missing a pick/prospect?

Also, why would the Coyotes want a goalie in trade, even if they trade Kuemper or Raanta? They already signed Hill, so they've got three until they trade one away.

Need a high-end pick and prospect. CBJ are looking for real and immediate T6 help, so it has to be value they can get now, or something they can flip. Assuming, of course, they didn’t already get that covered in another trade.

I like Stepan, but he’d be a third-liner here.

Fair enough! Didn't know if Hill was a viable option, with this move they'd be looking at Korpisalo and Hill next season which I think is better than Raanta Hill
