I like getting Stastny, but I dont see VGK retaining any salary...they are stttruggling to find the space right now. Take out the retention and I think Niku or a 3rd alone would do it

I am kind of torn on what to do with Perfetti this year. I think he could be NHL ready, but I think giving him one last year in Saginaw would be a good idea. Either way I think he could be 2C by the 21-22 season.

Usually I would agree, but how much more can he gain from playing in a league where he puts up 111 points in 60 something games? I think he is too good for there. Ideally I would love to get him on the farm team, but who knows what he could be like by January when the league starts again? Maybe a couple months of training with the Jets gets him ready?

Yeah I could see it. The only thing I am worried about is Paul won't be patient with him and start reducing his minute if he has 1 rough game, like he has shown with other players. In Saginaw he would be put in every situation and give him time to further develop his skating and his defensive game (both of which aren't bad at all but are the weakest aspects of his game). Would also be on team Canada at the World Juniors this year. With all of this time off, I would say he has a 50/50 chance of making it right away, when I would usually say a year more in junior for a guy like him.
