Is Strome terrible defensively or something? Would seem like a no brainer for Toronto.

Stan isn’t trading his pet Nylander. Just not happening. His job depends on him succeeding and it’s too early to throw in the towel on him.

I don’t this Arizona makes this trade. It’s a bunch of spare parts for a decent backup.

Zach Smith is LTIR and actually helps the team by not playing this last year. No need to trade him.

We don’t need more LD. We have those waiting. What we need is to replace the old and the tired ie: Keith and De Haan. Would rather see De Haan moved for picks and or prospect than an NHL roster player.

And last I don’t know if you can sign Demin to a 4 year contract. This would be his entry level which cap out at 3 but I could be wrong.

Kerfoot >> Strome

Strome is far from a great skater. Leafs won't have any interest in the deal. Kerfoot is the FAR superior player. Strome's numbers are inflated from playing with better players, DeBrincat, Kane, etc. He'd produce nothing more than what Kerfoot does in Toronto and he'd be a power play specialist. Kerfoot can play PP and PK and is versatile to play the wing.
