Description
The isles are in win-now mode and need to make some hard sacrifices in order to keep the core together and hope that a couple of the young guys can contribute the following year. This also assumes Ladd cannot go on LTIR (I hope he does but you know what happens when you assume...) If things fall off the rails, the Isles can probably recoup some draft capital by moving Casey, Martin, Greene and Soderberg at the deadline next year.

DET - Boychuk has some game left and will be solid veteran holding the spot until Seider is ready. The 1st gets the deal done since he is only owed $5m in real money the next 2 years.

NJD - get 2 solid veterans in positions of need, a potential top 4RD and a good pick. we retain a bit to get the deal done.

Or we can just not spend 4.5 mill on Soderberg , Greene , and Martin and throw away multiple picks and top prospects.

Giving up 2 of our top 5 prospects + a 1st is just reckless IMO

The Devils and Wings should be all over those trades if those players are willing to go to those teams, not sure what their trade protection is, that's way better for the Wings then the measly 2nd round pick they got for taking Staal.

As a Detroit fan I might do this I'd rater have a d prospect of Bellows but considering all the new players Detroit has signed so far this offseason. I'm not sure Detroit would do this.
