Description

Bowman talks about getting younger. Ian Mitchell and Nicholas Beaudin could start in the AHL or NHL. Stan made very questionable moves this summer moving on from Corey Crawford and trading Saad. Kevin Lankinen could be a wild surprise to hawks fans if he performs well but there's still a need to get Kevin help. Janmark and Wallmark are serviceable guys both could be more impactful on better teams. I do not know for sure if this is rebuild is being done right but time will tell the story.

Detroit passes. From Detroit's point of view Shaw is a cap dump and in missing most of the season due to concussion syndrome. Since there is really no way to know he will be back of it he will be back. I don't see any team giving up much to get him. I think your best bet is to keep him on LITR and when he gets cleared to play you revisit trading him. Kämpf is a solid bottom 6 guy and if you look at Detroit's
roster you'll see that they have a lot of bottom 6 players. I thought Nylander wasn't going to be traded. Personally I wouldn't trade him for Rasmussen straight up but thats just my opinion.

Hawks have no reason to dump shaws contract since they're rebuilding. If they did trade shaw it wouldn't cost nylander and kampf to do it. Probably just have to give up a 2nd round pick.
