This + LA is why the sharks should’ve started rebuilding at the past TDL 😭😷

Im kinda worried for the sharks they might have a long road ahead of them because some of those contracts are brutal and idk if many of their players will have the trade value of the LA and ANA players.

LA doesn’t have much trade value at all - similar situation but much much much much much better prospect pool

ANA does have a lot of trade potential, more than LA for sure and maybe SJS. LA can trade Iafallo..that’s about it off the top of my head for actual trade value with good return, maybe kopitar with retention but I think he’s a life long King. Sharks can trade Hertl, Kane, Couture (maybe..), Burns (retention), Donato, Simek (small return likely). Maybe Meier and Labanc too but they also could easily be apart of a future team if the rest are traded and could be on a rebuilt team.

fair, with retention guys like Kane and Burns become a lot more appetizing, for the kings i was referring to the start of the rebuild when they had guys like toffoli and muzzin and such to trade.

Forgot about them/ true to include them. And Martinez.

ANA definitely is in my favoured position (good pool and good trade values - and the best goalie in the league).

LA (equal pool to ANA (both very good), toss on who’s better off I guess - but low trade potential)

SJS (weaker pool, good trade value but not a rebuilding mindset yet, trade potential reduces a lot after TDL imo depending on our year)

Ana could be good this year - I think they could put it together but there’s so much uncertainty in how players will perform/ develop/ who’s gonna debut and who’s gonna keep improving. LA needs a few more years, SJS could either contend this year or start a full blown rebuild (50/50).
