Pass from Detroit as that deals gets us a second rounder and upgrading a third to a second at the cost of ~19M in cap. Nielsen actually helps us in that he gives an eligible forward to expose in the ED.

Lou may very well give Boychuk for a 1st +. This was just a way to help soften the blow on their end. Not like I care, I'm a Canes fan. I hope the Isles get walloped this offseason (not saying it's likely with Trotz making gold from s***, but the Metro is a bloodbath that needs to be taken down a few pegs for comfort).

Yes trotz making gold from s*** as he willingly put boychuk and kuhnhackl in the lineup despite them costing us games! Goaltending bailed out trotz dumb lineup decisions.
