I agree on the best forward part. I think ANA does this if they are committed to rebuild. He's 30 Pettersson is 24. That's my take at least.

I understand a team probably doesn’t want to trade their most productive winger for the last couple years, but selling high is always the best option. Selling high at the right time. Like the M.Duchane trade. They Traded him right as he started to decline. Trading silverberg at 30 years old after his best 2 seasons probably isnt the worst idea. Especially with 4 years left on his 5.25M contract. And if ANA doesn’t think they are gonna compete for a play-off spot. Also getting back a 24 year old LHD, proven top 4 LHD on a play-off team. That will be a top 4 on your team for the next 5 years. And signed long-term to a reasonable deal.

Ya, I agree, Jankowski probably isn’t the best center for a winger like Kapanen.
