Description
Same trade to Boston. But since ANA didn’t like the Pettersson for Rakell or Silfverberg trades. Let’s see what the Devils fans think!! I can understand ANA fans not wanting to get Pettersson back at a higher cost. Even though Sprong at that time was still a good prospect and looked like an over-pay.

And Pettersson is a completely didn’t player now. A proven top 4 LHD, on a play-off team, on a good defensive play-off team, and signed long-term to a reasonable deal. And still just 24 years old.

The Devils get Pettersson and a 5th round pick. And the Pens get Palmieri and a 3rd round pick. The Pens get a upgraded draft pick, seeing as Palmieri’s contract is expiring and Pettersson is just 24 years old and signed to a reasonable, long-term deal. And NJD will have Butcher, Ty Smith and Pettersson as LHD for the next 4-5 years if they re-sign Butcher

Again the LTIR is used for camp battles. Jankowski, E-Rod, Lafferty, and Senyshyn fight for the 4th line LW spot and the 13-14th Forward on the roster.

And next year, Senyshyn has a chance at the 4th line RW or 3rd line RW, as E-rod, Jankowski, and Palmieri contracts are expiring. And the Pens can try to re-sign those players or let them walk and get the cap room to sign Marino long term and next year’s FA class is loaded. And Poulin will 100% be ready next year and win a roster spot.

Pens sign Haula for 3C. Has to be 2.5M or less. 5M for 2 years is a good deal in the flat cap year, IMO.

Lol, he has an expiring contract and they have 2 LHD that on expiring contracts this year too. And they will have Butcher(if they re-sign him), Pettersson and Ty Smith as their LHD for the next 4-5 years.

I doubt it. A proven top 4 LHD on a play-off team. Still only 24 years old, and signed long-term to a reasonable deal. A.Johnsson brought back J.Anderson. I don’t see Palmieri value being much higher. Or higher at all. Especially if he’s trades at the TD.

I can see him bringing back futures at the TD. Like a “B”, “B+” prospect and a draft pick. But Petterson is more valueable than that. He’s a proven top 4 D. And like i said, still just 24. And has 2 years NHL experience already. And play-off experience.

Do you think that highly of Pettersson? Maybe i need to watch him play more. If you think he’s a legit top four d man this an abysmal trade for Pittsburgh.
