Description
Besides Cirelli or if we could afford J.Staal again or someone crazy that would hate playing 3C minutes or we couldn’t afford.

Dallas gets their LHD that is ready to play with Heiskanen. I know they have Harley but PO-Joseph is definitely farther along. And Dallas moves Ty Dellandrea or J.Dickinson to 3C.

I don’t think so. It’s what we paid for Zucker. A top 100 prospect( although C.Addison is a more sought after defender being RH and a bit more highly rated). A top 100 prospect and a 1st round pick. Of course Zucker > Faska. But they are different players too. I mean we paid a 1st round pick and Hallander( a “C+, “B-“ prospect) for Kappy too. And it was a known, 15th overall pick. Pretty high.

Faska is a great 2-way Center. Perfect for our 3C. Signed long term to a reasonable deal. That’s very valuable. Still young!! Still potential there!! That’s valuable. 1st round pedigree. valuable(whether u think so or not, it is). Chips in on offense enough. Perfect IMO. And I agree u can never have enough D, and I love PO-Joseph. I just don’t see where he fits now with Matheson.

Faksa just hasn’t really proven himself for me to feel comfortable giving up a 1st. Giving up a 1st for Zucker and Kapanen is fine cause they’re top 6 guys. JR wants Jankowski at 3C. Hate how no one is giving him a chance

Yep, I agree. It’s Janko position to lose right now. And I think he can can turn it around. We’re only his 2nd team. 1st round pedigree too. 2 descent seasons his 1st two years. Yes, last year was bad but Calgary was a sh*t show last year. Every players stats went way down. It’s easy to write off last year for him. And a change of scenery should do him well.

But Faksa is definitely proven 3C. Has gotten Selke votes 3 years Out of 5 he’s been n the NHL. Chips in scoring enough. I disagree there.

Gotta agree. A 1st and one of PIT's only decent prospects is way too much to pay for a 3C right now.

Just wanted to point out this isn't accurate. Faksa finished 7th in Selke voting in 17-18, and received a single 4th place vote the next year, but that's been it.
