******** 1st {3} - TEAM TRADE [#1] ~~~~ Pittsburgh Penguins -- N.J. Devils -- Vancouver Canucks ~~~~ "BREAK-DOWN" **********

[PIT] gets :
- C- GAUDETTE #88 [$950,]
- RHD- WOO #52 [$860,]
- 21' - 3rd Rdr [VAN]
- 21' - 6th Rdr [NJD]
*** Pens lose a Top line LWer but gain 1 of my fav younger players in Gaudette who would be a near Perfect 3C & who could also become much more than just a 3C. Also get a RHD Prospect in Woo,
who IMO is def a future Top 4 w/ his High Hockey IQ, skating ability, & his physical side too. PLUS get 2- picks in 21' Draft that are much needed.
________________________________

[NJD] gets :
- LW- ERIKSSON #21 [$6m]
- RW- SCEVIOUR #7 [$1.2m]
- 21' - 1st Rdr [VAN]
*** NJ takes on a big Cap Dump in Eriksson BUT is still able to play as a bottom 6 guy & provide another vet for young team. Also a solid bottom 6 guy in Sceviour who could be a stop gap,
until younger players are ready. Plus the prize for taking the Cap Hit = The [VAN] 1st Rd pick.
_______________________________

[VAN] gets :
- LW- ZUCKER #16 [$5.5m]
- RHD- JACOBS [$700,]
*** Canucks get that Top line / Top 6 Wing they lost in Toffoli, in Zucker. While also getting rid of a $6m Cap hit for the next 2yrs in Eriksson. Yes, its a lot to give up w/ a 1st & 3rd in 21', along w/
Gaudette & Woo but VAN gets the best player in the deal & gets $12m of Cap relief.

******** 2nd {3} - TEAM TRADE [#2] ~~~~ Pittsburgh Penguins -- Vegas Golden Knights -- L.A. Kings ~~~~ "BREAK-DOWN" **********

[PIT] gets :
- RW- MARCHESAULT #81 [$5m]
- G- MAF #29 [$1.75m]
- LW- CARRIER #28 [$1.4m]
*** Pens take on a lot more of Cap $ but get a Top 6 RWer & another #81 in Marchy for the Left wall PP#1 unit & a 4th line LWer that isn't as good as ZAR on D but is a player I've always liked & can actually hit
in Carrier. Also bring MAF back but ONLY as a back-up.
_________________________________________

[VGK] gets :
- LW- ZAR #12 [$1m]
- RW- LUFF #64 [$700,]
- 22' - 2nd Rdr [PIT]
- 23' - 4th Rdr [PIT] *Conditional Pick*
*** VGK get out of their Cap mess & free up about $8m of Cap Space & still get 2 picks (1- 2nd Rdr & 1- 4th Rdr) & 2- bottom 6 Forwards, Instead of paying big to move MAF.
________________________________________

[LAK] gets :
- LD- RIIKOLLA #50 [$1.075]
- LW- BJORKQVIST #20 [$792,]
*** Kings take on $1.75m of Cap space for 2yrs but get a bottom 6 LHD in Riikola who can play both sides = as good & had a great 1st yr in NHL & a former 2nd Rd Prospect who is better than his
prospect rankings in Bjorkqvist.

All Players on {LTIR} could see time on Roster w/ call-ups or injuries.

I think to many people have false memories on MAF.
Even when he was here he was a weak link, that's why he got replaced by Murray. There are whole playoff series we had in years prior where he'd just watch pucks go in the net.
I know he's coming in as a backup. But by all accounts he's kind of toast. He's 36 time to let that ship sail. I know DeSmith isn't going to be a starter or anything, but It's only 56 game season.
Jarry can take most of that load.

Looks like you've put a lot of time and thought into this, which is more than what most would do.

Too bad you'll have some people call your ideas dumb without actually reading it.

I can't see Vegas dumping Fleury at 50% retained and attaching Marchessault to it. They're really not getting enough value back for that kind of retention and a top 6 forward that consistently puts up 25+ goals and 50+ points (shortened season, he probably would've still got there). Sure they have their backs up against the wall a bit, but there are other ways to lose this cap as well without just dumping Marchessault. I just don't see them sacrificing the potential return in a Marchessault trade by lumping him in with Fleury.

both of the 3 way trades are close in totality but dumping salary may cost a bit more...
also I'm ok with Desmith, zucker, and ZAR. I'd like to see this current edition of the pens b4 writing them off as a fringe playoff team...
          good work and thoughts though!
