Roster construction, post day-one of the season. Going shopping with Klefbom's LTIR cushion.

This team would straight up slay the competition. Basically two high end first lines, and two strong third lines. Plus three strong to elite second d-pairs (or better, as Nurse-Bear were a decent first pair last year).

Other options I've considered are Brassard and Grabner for 1x$1M each. Brassard as a veteran upgrade over JJ and Grabner as a speedy LW who can score and PK. Potential to move up to the top-6 but I wouldn't count on it happening that way. I don't buy into the Hutton/Vatanen/Koekkoek hype and would rather test drive Lagesson and Lennstrom before looking outside the org. for help on defence (absent a clear upgrade, like Chara).

Haula would also look great with CMD, as an option. But if I were coach, I'd want to start off by seeing if he and Neal could replicate their chemistry from VGK. That and Haula could be a strong mentor option for fellow Finn JP. There is also the option to double shift Connor/Leon with the third line and moving Haula to LW with JP or Neal on RW, depending on who's going at the time.
