What do you think the hold up is? Money, term, or maybe both? CBJ has the cap space, but this is getting dragged out longer than it should.

Agree. They are probably waiting to see what Barzal signs for, and vice versa.
Barzal's numbers are slightly higher than Dubois, but both are comparables given their age, # games played, etc.
They may be apart on salary or term.
I would surmise that maybe Jarmo wants to bridge Dubois on a 3 year deal to bring his next (large) contract after Werenski, Jones & Bjorkstrand.
