Description
My hopes for the upcoming 56 game season.

Sid, Geno, Letang, Guentzel, Zucker, Kappy, Jarry, Dumoulin, Pettersson, Marino all stay healthy and play 48-56 games this season.

Jarry picks up where he left off last year and plays consistent as a starter and proves his a #1, all-star caliber goalie. Jarry makes another All-Star appearance.

Jankowski plays a good 3C and gets back to his 25-35 point a season production. And solid defense and good on the PK. I’d take 10-15 goals, 12-20 assists, and 22-35 points in 56 games. If not, trade for Getzlaf or P.Danault at the deadline. Both are rentals.

E-Rod finally gets his shot on a semi-scoring line. Hasn’t had one since college when he played on Eichel’s RW and had 61 points in 40 games. 2nd in scoring in the NCAA. I’d take 12-16 goals and 10-15 assists and 22-31 points in 56 games. If not, Legare wins the 3rd line RW roster spot out of camp.

Kappy meshes well with SiD and Guentzel and scores 20 plus goals in the 56 game season.

Guentzel continues from last year and stays on his 75-80 point pace for a full season. Another All-Star appearance.

Rust continues on his Point per game pace like last season has another 20 plus goal 50 plus point season in 56 games.

Zucker continues on his point per game pace from last years 12 points in 15 games with the Pens. Scores 20 plus goals and has 50 plus point season in 56 games.

McCann breaks through at 24 years old and after back to back 35 point seasons. He sticks on the LW all year and scores 20 plus goals finally. After 14 goals last year and 19 goals in 18-19. I’ll take another 35 point season but with 20 goals this year.

Matheson speed gets him back on track and has another 10 goal, 28 point season. I’ll take 5-8 goals, 12-20 assists and 20-28 points.

Marino continues on from last year and improves on his 6 goals and 26 point rookie season. I’ll take 6-10 goals and 20-30 assists and 26-40 Point season. Along with solid defense again!! 22 plus minutes a night.

Pettersson continues proving he’s a solid top 4 LHD and has another solid defensive and 20-30 point season. Plays 22 plus minutes a night.

4th line continues being the “buzzsaw” line and the best defensive line in the NHL. ZAR comes back in February and him and the line pick up right where they left off. Lafferty fills in for ZAR on the RW and plays well in his absence. We need his right-handed shot and his Face-Off strengths. We don’t have anyone else to take Face-offs as a right-handed stick. Tanev/Blueger/ZAR all receive Selke votes like last year.

Maniscalco wins the 3rd pairing RHD spot out of camp. He’s apart of our future and Ruthwedel and Ceci arnt. Matheson/Maniscalco would be a great 3rd paring D. Maniscalco has a similar year to Marino and receives Calder votes like Marino. Matheson/Maniscalco play 14-16 minutes a night.

Riikola continues improving and again is one of the top 5 7th Defensemen in the NHL.

DeSmith proves he’s a capable NHL back-up and has a solid year like 18-19 season.

O’Connor, PO-Joseph, C.Lee, Angello make the taxi squad and continue to develop and all contribute to the NHL team throughout the year.

Poulin continues to develop and ready to step into the line-up next season.

Pens make the Stanley Cup Finals!!

Lol. It’s the only way any team wins!! Players staying healthy.

I’ll take 45-48 games from all 3 of them in a 58 season.

And good goalie play!! Jarry has to be consistent and prove he can do what he did last year, consistently, through-out a whole season as a #1 goalie.
