Sabers get a top 100 prospects in PO-Joseph. That is NHL ready and they need help on their LHD. And get a 2nd round pick this year.

Middelstadt gets a new start and to learn from Sid and Geno. Cozens should be ready soon for the Sabers and be able to step into the 3C spot too.

Fair value I think, POJ would be a good partner for Risto

Overpaying for someone who hasn't been able to transition to the NHL game in Mittelstadt. Lias Andersson's trade tells us the 2nd alone should be enough. No reason at all for POJ to be dealt.

Mitts is way better then Andersson. 9/66 games for Lias (3 goals) vs 39/113 games for mitts (17 goals). Mitts has double the points ppg then lias. They aren't comparables

the 2nd is probably enough, especially if he doesn't make the team

They are definitely comparables. Buffalo's lack of center depth and terrible prospect development system doesn't make Mitts more valuable. Either way the extra .1 ppg, which can be explained away with PP time(0.05 without Mitt's PP time), time on ice in those games and quality of teammate, is more than made up by the fact the Pittsburgh pick is likely to be 15-20 spots earlier than the Vegas 2nd.

The 2 players might be the closest comparables to each other that exist especially given the fact they were drafted one after the other so dumb stuff like pedigree doesn't come into effect.
