not sure they can put him on LTIR as he signed his contract over the age of 35 and is choosing to retire... it seems like it will be dead money on the NJD cap unfortunately

The contract has officially been voided. Zero cap implications and Crow didn't get $1.00.

Ya the over 35 rule was in place for good reasons and this wasn’t one of them. Glad devils didn’t get screwed

Reallyyy, that's news to me where did you see that? I guess the NHL owed it to the devils to circumvent the rules this one time since they got screwed on the whole Kovalchuk fiasco...

This deal makes sense from both sides but my guess is we take Riemer from Carolina for basically nothing.
