I like RNH, but I fail to see how this makes the team better. This is just making a trade for the sake of making a trade, which is never a good idea. Stick with the guys you have and let them build a good working chemistry with each other.

Torts would never allow this team to get softer. While I think Dubinsky would absolutely shine in Edmonton not having to be close to "the guy", RNH is just not a Torts type player and would end up in a 4th line checking role.

Idk how this doesn't make the team better. RNH is younger, has a higher upside, is quicker and more skilled compared to Dubi, and is still defensively sound. And it gives the Jackets a formidable 1-2-3 punch down the middle for the future (Wenns/RNH/Dubois). Take out either the pick or Milano and I'm good with it.

That's just not true. RNH would thrive under Torts' system, he's a quick center who is defensively responsible, and has the potential to put up 60+ points. He'd be our 1b to Wennberg.

RNH would only be traded if it were to bring in a high ebd right shot defenseman. That would likely nean Savard. And the way he has played this year, I would say no to that. Savard is too valuable.

Which is why it has been suggested several times - and agreed upon - that a trade around Savard+Dubinsky for RNH+Fayne could work for both sides.
