Description
So this is basically what I think we can expect next year.
There are probably 3 centers on the market. Lowry, coleman, Haula.
They will have to make a run at one of them, and dump Matheson.
predict a very boring offseason as Hextall gets ready to hit the draft in 22.

That’s a lot of money for Lowry. A 3C at best. Bottom 6 for sure, 29 years old. No Potential of being a top 6 at all. I’m a fan though!! Just not at that price. He’s Great defensively.

And a flat cap still..no way he gets 4M per.

And I hate the Haula signing. I didn’t want the Pens to sign him this off-season, definitely don’t a year later.

I would love the Blake Coleman signing though. And love Blueger and ZAR both signing for under 1.5M per. And would also love for Seattle to take Matheson. Even if we have to give up that 2nd round pick as incentive.

the problem with Lowry is the market. WPG will offer him a contract. If you don't outbid then you are down to two guys.
It's just something we have to be honest about. This is why I signed them to 1 year deals. Because the market isn't strong and I'd rather see them go after Barkov the next year.
Their just isn't that great of a market unless they pull a diamond out the ruff somewhere in a prospect.
They really have 1 roster hole to fill. That's it. Dump a bad defense contract somehow, and fill the hole.

And u can’t play a young prospect out of position, on his weak side, where’s he’s uncomfortable, and not used to playing, his 1st year in the NHL, while learning. Playing/learning a new position on the fly, against NHL players, when he’s played LW all his life and a left handed shot.

You’ll ruin your top prospect. Poulin would be up already and have a roster spot if he was comfortable playing RW.

he played RW in the CHL.
I don't think the position is what is holding him back. It's the coaching staff and GM. Much like they didn't play POJ to start the year.
Much like we don't see Maniscalco, even though he's looked pretty damn good in wbs.
You got to go where there is a spot, and right now, that's the only spot there is.

He’s a LW. Plays LW, always has. Tends to play alittle on the right side sometimes here and there. But not a RW. Not his position. But ok.

Coming from the biggest PO-Joseph doubter ever..lol.

Very few clips and film out on Maniscalco. He has the size, but ???, where’s all the film and whose really seen him play?? He’d be up if was good enough. They had W.Reilly up. Pens would play him(just like Marino) if he “WON” his spot. Deserves his spot. Atleast he’s be on the taxi squad if he was ready. You just can’t give it to him b/c he has size.
