Description
OTT may just be dumb enough to take on that EK65 contract hahaha. Doubt it but worth a try. Especially if they don’t have to pay any of their young guys for 3-4 years.

Labanc is a 40 point guy.. PP specialist and Merkley was highly touted D man in juniors but has some maturity and attitude issues that if he can curb will make him a great potential for a top 4 d man. Knight is probably 3-4 years away from being NHLer. Either Flordia is committed to that massive Bob contract or they ship him out after 2-3 years and let Knight develop as the next guy. Either way teams and GM’s have to make decisions and it wouldn’t be the first time Wilson would fleece another team for a young player. All hypotheticals here but what I know for sure is the Sharks need to get rid of EK fast as he’s a Cancer for the team and Jones needs to be bought out ASAP. Would also help if Wilson got booted. Sharks need a complete culture change and new look everywhere.

If they can land 1-2 high end Free Agents have a good draft the next two years they can be on the road back to success in 2-3 years with guys like Meier, Hertl, Couture as the building block to a rebuild.

I say this with all due respect, and just know that the Sharks are one of my favorite teams.

Good luck with that....

Be honest, SJ is looking at a decade of misery ahead of them. Minimum.

I just can't see them turning it around in 2-3 years.

Case and point...

Dubnyk hasn't won a game and he is still the better goaltender. How the **** does that happen?!?!?!?!?

The Sharks are stuck in purgatory. Not sure anyone will take on Karlsson, Vlasic, or Jones’ contract and you’d need to toss all three to get better. Burns is tradeable and I’d argue he needs to go as well.

Strange things happen. Milan Lucic got traded. But all 4? Unlikely. Burns plus one of the first three I can see happening. Karlsson with retention is best guess.

Old Eugene wouldn't offer Karlsson the kind of money that he's currently making 2 years ago...he definitely isn't doing it after the decline that we've all seen from Karlsson.

Because have you seen the Sharks goaltending tandem? It's Martin Jones and Devan Dubnyk. Aka the two worst goaltenders in the league.

Top that off with San Jose doesn't have any viable goaltending options in the system either.

Why wouldn't they want Knight? Knight is one of the best goaltending prospects in the league.
