Much like protecting Tanev over Zucker. That isn't happening either.

I think Zucker is a trade candidate. Unless he turns it around. I'll protect Matheson over Pettersson easily. Matheson has been fantastic since coming off of Injury. He's far more faster and has more offense then Marcus Pettersson. His denfesive ability ahs also been good as well. He's a +6 right now. He's not leaving the lineup.

while I agree Matheson has played well, he'll be the contract they move. As for Zucker don't count on it.
This team has played with little blueline help, they still don't have a fully healthy blueline. They won't be making judgements based on them getting pinned back at times because of AHLers.

We gave up too much for Zucker to let him walk. We may look to trade him, but if he isnt, then we 100% protect him. I think our top 6 gets protected, and the 7th man is between McCann, Blueger, Tanev and ZAR. I feel like it is unlikely Seattle takes Tanev because of his contract. I also think that about Matheson, so I think we protect Pettersson over him.
