Description
I decided to see just how much I could give Hyman. The free agents signed arn't really important, they are more to give an idea of the money that would available at each position.

To max out the amount, I assumed Kerfoot would be chosen by Seattle.

4.2 mil is the max IMO that they Leafs can offer.

I could see them getting it done around 3.8 with more term, like 5-6.

Here’s the thing the amount is not going to be as much as people think BUT the term is going to hurt. He’s going to take a discount and get longer term than you want to give him. Personally I think it’s going to be like $3.9 maybe $4 million for 6 to 7 years maybe even 8 but more likely to be 6 to 7 years. The back half of the contract will not be great but it’s a trade off to lower his cap. He wants to be in Toronto so I am 99% sure this is how it all goes down. Ps it’s also done after the expansion draft so they don’t have to protect him

3.8M-4.1M. Add a fifth year and 3.5M maybe. Hard to tell with a flat cap.

I'm hoping you guys give him $4.25 x 6 years. I like the hard, honest workers.
