if Ekholm is the only pickup, he will be with JMo...Forbert and Pionk have done good enough this year

Stanley coming out hurts. He’s been so good and IMO he’s could surprise and become a top 4 dman. His stick and passing abilities are great. Good skater for a big man. That snarl is coming to his game too.

I do agree that if ekholm is the only one added, that it’s likely he plays with Morrissey. Which I really don’t mind because Morrissey has been awful recently and needs a partner like ekholm. I’d rather see them go for Savard and ekholm.

Take out Niku and insert one of Stanley, Heinola or Lundmark and it's a deal for Nashville.

Heinola has top pairing potential, so easy no. Nashville has made calls to wpg specifically about Niku so I’m sure they’re okay with this package. Their ask is a 1st and 2 prospects. This gives them exactly that, with a guy who they’ve expressed interest in, and a guy who’s ED exempt.
