Buying out Jones is also an option at this point. Either need Merkley or a FA to take over 3RD, Vlasic gets the Jeff Skinner treatment after this season

Yeah for sure, but Jones has been good as of late and I have hope he could continue playing this well.

I think our defensive core is good. Obviously, Merkley has great potential, but I don't think he's NHL ready.

We’re so screwed if we don’t get rid or a major contract lol. You only signed $5M worth of players and already we can’t afford to have a 3rd healthy scratch. Oof.

yeah but if we wanted a 3rd scratch we could sign many other 3c's for cheaper. I just don't think we need 3 scratches since our affiliate is in the same city.
