Description
I think this team is significantly better defensively.

First and foremost, Jones is gone and we get a very solid goalie tandem through free agency. We also give Burns to Seattle to get 2 solid defensemen after Karlsson. 2 solid defensemen with solid defensive skills on each side should give us an edge defensively. We also sign 2 solid defensive forwards that are great in the faceoff circle to give us very strong center depth.

If you guys were able to sign Danault (which would be a home run, in my opinion), wouldn't you play him between Hertl and Meier?

Hertl is also very solid at faceoffs so I wouldn't want to move him to wing

Seems like an odd reason to play a guy who is your star off-season signing and is making $5.5 million per year on the third line.

    ig

we could also move Couture to wing and roll with

    Couture-Danault-Labanc
    Kane-Hertl-Meier
    Leonard-Haula-Blichfeld
    Donato-True-Balcers

Play Knyzhov and scratch Vlasic would be the best way to improve the defense of this roster
