If Dubas offered just the first for Getzlaf, plus Kerfoot to make the cap work, Murray would agree, hang up the phone, and change into dry pants.

Getzlaf, Thornton and Spezza still have lots of gas left in the tank......and especially playing like 10 minutes a game on fourth line plus some more time on special teams.

Yeah, but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re still 4th line level players. And depth is nice, but they won’t make much of a difference for whether the team wins or loses.
