Everybody knows Buffalo is going nowhere. Staal is getting moved and would help Pens center depth big time. Hall probably isn't getting moved with that contract. But, if they eat half (at east in cap space), then the Pens (or someone else) can probably fit it. I think he would be reinvigorated with the Pens. A line with Malkin, Kapenen and Hall would have speed and tenacity. This move would also allow Joseph to be recalled and be on the third D pair.
This trade would get Buffalo a young solid D man on a good contract, a good prospect, a 2nd round pick and a depth guy that can play now. Based on both Buffalo guys being on one year deals and their production this year, I think the value is close. Buffalo might be able to get more...then again maybe not.
