Description

Cap is tight, in the near future, but Columbus gets their #1C, and some would say he's a little better than Dubois.

The next year, they Domi, Roslovic, Jenner, Werenski, Jones, Merzlikins, and Korpisalo are up for new contract. With just 7M of cap space, they probably lose two of those guys. I'm guessing Jenner and Korpisalo, but it all depends how everybody plays next year when the team is built to win right away.

They'd definitely have to negotiate that deal before showing Laine they're willing to get him a real center. Once he sees he can easily score 40 goals again, I agree, there's no way. But after this year, maybe?
