Description

So many people are protecting DeMelo and Lowry over Stanley and Appleton. The DeMelo contract is bad, so even if we lose that, who cares. I think the Lowry contract was overpaid so that Seattle doesn't take him. (I'm also leaving Stastny unprotected because he's old and not very good) I know the Hamilton contract is a bit of an underpay, and he's likely to resign in Carolina, I was just using him as an example.

Signing Dubois, Appleton, Gustaffsson, Harkins, and Vesalainen next year will be hard
Also signing Heinola, Perfetti, Samberg, and Berdin will be hard 2 years down the road

I also realized that this team looks almost exactly the same as this year but honestly if it were'nt for injuries I think we could've had a good shot at it this year. Also I really like our 4th line how it is

The Pionk and Copp contracts might be a bit cheap but who cares

Honestly this isn’t too bad. I like the dougie signing, but it likely takes 8.75m to get him to consider WPG. Why not just sign pionk long term?? Give him 5x5.5. Stastny likely gets 3-3.5m or he leaves, 4th line will need a new C with Thompson slowing down. Also Lewis probably just gets league minimum.

If Chevy was smart he’d pay seattle to take demelo over the other guys. Frees up some cap to help sign PLD next year.

Also Heinola would realistically have 3 years since his ELC will slide, same with Perfetti and samberg. So their deals lineup for when wheelers contract is over.

Likely Copp files for arbitration and walks as a FA next year. Or he’s traded before his arbitration date.

I know that the Dougie contract was cheap. I don't know why I didn't give Pionk more term. I don't know if Stastny stays for less than 4M, and I don't really want him to, but I think he will. I didn't even think of the ELC slides, so that works out I guess. I really hope Copp stays, he's a great defensive forward that plays up and down the lineup, but I don't know if he stays
