16 forwards, 8 defencemen, 3 goaltenders to start the tournament. Assuming that Montreal clinches a playoff spot and the initial rosters will be comprised of non-playoff teams. Non-NHL players/prospects from playoff teams were disregarded.
Werenski is one of a few notable injuries. I don't think Luke Hughes or Matty Beniers get an invite, but top prospects sometimes do, so never know.
Very strong team, I think they have the best odds to win it all. A lot of quality names didn't make my final cut given a couple loyalties from Hockey USA. Expect another Kessel subtweet.
Don’t players who are usually RFA, or UFA’s don’t play? Or that may just be Sabres players. Like Reinhart for example would always play if he had a contract for the next season but wouldn’t play as a restricted free agent.

Yes - I was thinking the same thing.
I bet Quinn Hughes and Conor Garland sit out

It's an IIHF tournament, NHL contracts aren't required to play in the Wolrd Championship.
A player might sit out if they want the summer to have a break/train, and on the odd occasion a GM might request a player not go, but there'd be nothing stopping Reinhart from going.
