If Bemstrom is gonna be a scratch for you guys, CBJ would prefer to just keep him.

Intrigued to see if his play will improve under Not-Torts.

Absolutely not for Washington. I love Eichel and he's a great player, but you are destroying your entire future in that deal, and you are left with Lapierre as your only quality prospect in the system, since guys like Gersich, Fehervary, and Johansen have not been promising and have been stuck in Hershey (Less so Fehervary but still...). Especially with Backstrom and Kuzy, and even if Kuzy is gone, Eller is fine to step in and be a 2nd line center. Its just not worthwhile to shorten your contending window even more with a future destroying move like that.
