Ducks don't accept. But I would rather just keep him around the year than overpay for Oleksiak and Hammer.

This 100 days of the week. Oleksiak is a poor-man's top-4 defender who's only upside is he's usually the biggest guy on the ice. The upcoming youth in the Pacific on top of Edmonton and Vegas' high-end skill would just walk him on a nightly basis. Save your money and build incrementally.

DiPietro hasn't played enough this season to justify him being the backup next year. Give him a lion's share in Abbotsford next year with Lind and Woo.

The optimal place for Pearson is going to be as the #3LW if it can be managed. I wouldn't resign Sutter either. Boyd's an upgrade as it is and comes at half the price. I don't like the Armia signing either. You can probably offer sheet Lehkonen for half the price at no draft pick expense to the Canucks organization.

Why on earth would Seattle who have a choice of dozens of goalies want 4.25m Holtby?

yeah good expand on my thoughts. I agree with everything you put here other than maybe the Sutter analysis. He's pretty useful to the team both on the ice and in the locker room. Boyd's been mostly invisible, it's been noticable that our bottom six has struggled without sutter. He's just been victim of the "this guy is overpaid therefore he sucks" views. I'd hand him a Mil to stay a year.
