Why not? They've got the 2 best players in the NHL the last 2 years. Ask Tyson Barrie why he left a 6 million/yr offer to take 3.75 and join them. Its highly plausible. And for the most part none of those offers are low or less then market value today in a covid flat cap world. As for nuge , he is NOT getting a raise. He had 14 even strength points this year. 9 primary. That offer is high imho

Barrie put up a less than stellar year in toronto and had to take a show me deal regardless of where he signs. Colorado may be the most complete team in the nhl right now and most of the core is extremely young, makes no sense for anyone to leave that to join the edmonton experiement. Fair if you dont think RNH doesnt get a raise but he surely doesnt take get a pay cut either.
