Description

It's extraordinarily unlikely. I don't expect it to happen; I'm pretty sure we'll end up rebuilding. But most of it is at least quasi-plausible, and it'd make for a nice reverse on all the hell stories lately.

The Jones trade is based on a suggestion I saw elsewhere, and is probably the most outlandish part of the thing - well, apart from the UFA signings, but those are kind of the whole point.

Colorado is a very Analytical team. Seth Jones is not very good analytics wise. Plus they don’t need him. They would rather keep future assets

Fair enough. There's other places he could be traded; I was just kind of picking the last thing I'd seen elsewhere. The real focus is the whole quick-reload-through-UFA bit, which is admittedly usually a pipe dream but I tried to acknowledge as much upfront.

Eh he's quite good analytically (3.2 corsi rel % this past season) I'd say it's more than analytics contradict claims that he's elite but maybe splitting hairs here

Doubtful Colorado can even afford Seth Jones long term, Sakic has to resign Cale Makar and Gabe Landeskog this year and Nate MacKinnon in 2 years all are going to cost big bucks.
