Description

I think Brent Burns would be a reasonable Dougie replacement if Dougie does leave in UFA. I'm not sure, but I think Burns should cost less then Jones because of the Cap situation in San Jose and his contract. Even if the cost is close/more I think Burns fits the hole created by the loss of Dougie.

My two questions are:

What does Burns cost straight up?

What does Burns cost with a ~2 million dollar retention?

I wouldn't touch him. He's a shell of the player he was offensively, and he's still a disaster defensively.

have to agree with gross. He has fallen off a cliff into a bottom pair RHD. He is only going to get slower at 36 as well.

Gardiner would have to go back the other way plus getting some nicer pieces at full cost. 2 million retention would still mean Gardiner and we get good pieces to make it work. Im having a hard time putting something on it
