Nashville moves Ellis with younger and cheaper Fabbro and Carrier taking top-4 RD spots. This clears salary to add a forward in off-season. Also, adds Jesper Boqvist, (who is expansion-exempt), a young, offensive center who can play wing and is familiar with Hynes system. The 1st pick is the NY Islanders 1st.

        Quality and tactful AGM ✔

Boqvist + 18th overall in a sketchy draft, yikes 😐

Everyone seems down on Ellis recently but why?

Was on pace for his usual 40+ pts/plus Corsi ho hum

        I'd recommend 1 more year before $$$harangovich

I’m very interested in Boqvist if the Devils are considering to cut his leash, but it is concerning he’s almost 23 and hasn’t really shown himself as an NHLer.

I’d bet people are just realizing Ellis could be a target but haven’t really taken into account his contract. This would probably need to add at least a 2nd, if not a 1st. However, I think this would be a fair return for Ekholm.

Avs decline. They aren’t trading their top prospects for 3rd line wingers

I wouldn't mind the Ellis trade but rather trade for Fabbro who fits the timeline of the rebuild

On the Ellis front, I think some Preds fans are looking at RD with Carrier, Fabbro, and Benning, and wondering if we can improve the top 6 by moving Ellis. It would be a huge change to the core of the team and requires Fabbro to take a big leap from recent play. Personally, I'd rather look at moving Ellis for Konecny.
