Description
Not sure what Bruce was thinking keeping that fourth line together when they collectively had one point the entire playoffs. Why not bring up Senyshyn who at least has high end speed? Kuhlman could have slotted in too. Frederic would've been nice to see. Was Blidh healthy?

Not sure if these exact trades and signings are ultra-realistic, but this is the type of thing I'd like to see being done. Trade Debrusk and Ritchie and bring in some new life to the bottom 6 in the form of young players in the system and new guys from trade or UFA. Spend the extra cap space to bring in help on LHD.

Only reason Zona talked about moving Garland was to save on salary. He’s due arbitration this year. That being the case why would they want Debrusk back who makes what Garland probably will this year.

More like 1st and a prospect if you chasing Garland.

Fair enough, maybe you could do something like Vaakanainen + 1st + 2nd and then trade Debrusk to a different team to recoup some draft picks in that case. Either way the trade still might not be super realistic, this is just the flavour of moves I'd like to see them make, which is to totally revamp the bottom 6 and get another defenceman.

Please don't send Ritchie to the Oilers.... I could see them knocking if the price is right on DeBrusk and could see him shaking loose if Hall re-signs.

I could also see Debrusk being a good fit for the Oilers, especially since he's from Edmonton. The reason I sent Ritchie there is that I figured he could fill a Pat Maroon type role for them.

I think DeBrusk was just a down year and a change of scenery could be the jolt he needs. Louie is well loved in this town and Jake would be well received. Not for any particular reason but just don't have a good feeling on Ritchie.
